Pre-Spring ’20 presents a bright and beautiful vision of the season ahead—a prelude to Spring with pieces that nod to the future while being immediately wearable now. I always love Pre-Spring because—though it delivers during the holiday season—it focuses on the excitement and optimism of the new year to come.
On the runway, designers gave us much to look forward to. We bought into saturated hues that feel especially new. We loved the amount of texture and detail we were able to focus on from some of our favorite designers. This season, you’ll see fabric techniques like never before, including liquid silk satins and details you must feel to appreciate. We always promote buying quality pieces that have longevity in a wardrobe and there are so many to choose from. (Among my favorites: a modern, feathery fox fur coat from The Row created with a new technique and an intricate lace dress from Erdem that captures the romance of the season.) Erdem Moralioglu, like many designers, found inspiration in the 19th-century Belle Epoque era, which I personally love to wear. So, look forward to brocade, lace, exaggerated sleeves, and of course, lots and lots of romance.
As always, Forty Five Ten’s curated edit of the season is presented through our unique lens fashion, art, and design.
