This season, designers must have cast a line directly into our thoughts and daydreams. So much of what walked the runways and popped up in showrooms is exactly what we want—with the volume turned way, way up.

Designers like Batsheva, Rodarte, and Christopher John Rogers took the bold prints and colors we've been loving and dialed them up to 11. (Bonus points to everyone who mixes and matches their prints a la Collina Strada.) They took the silhouettes we love and refined them. Volume play at Molly Goddard and Comme des Garcons feels like a playful counterpoint to the modern minimalism happening with Jil Sander and Bottega Veneta.

Most importantly, designers took the eclectic, expressive mood we've been longing for and made it louder. For our spring campaign, I turned to New York street photographer Daniel Arnold to capture this feeling. He, as you can gather from his work, has a great sense of visual humor.

Right now is all about a bright, youthful outlook filled with fluorescent color, vintage, tulle, animal prints, florals, tie-dye...The message is clear: approach your wardrobe joyfully and feel the confidence of expressing yourself. Bigger and louder than before.
