Artist Katherine Bernhardt inside No Aloha, the cafe in our Downtown Dallas store.
Cole requested bright and welcoming; Bernhardt responded with a floor-to-ceiling explosion of tropical birds, flora, and fruits. “One feels almost a part of, or perhaps a character, within Berhhardt’s work when dining in the café,” wrote PaperCity Culture and Style Editor, Billy Fong.
Earlier this spring, the work was repurposed for a 4510/SIX line of limited-edition ceramics produced by the artist and Cerámica Suro in Guadalajara, Mexico. Now, the tropical motifs have emerged on an exclusive jacket by New York designer, Rachel Comey. Her unisex work jacket features a custom Bernhardt print with toucans, bananas, cigarettes, and flowers straight off the walls of No Aloha.

“Bernhardt’s signature pattern-style painting was the perfect fit” for our Downtown Dallas store's No Aloha cafe, explains Kristen Cole.
