Friends in High Places
Since its launch in 2005, Highsnobiety has grown from a niche site devoted to sneakers and streetwear to a full-fledged media brand with global offices in Berlin, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, and Los Angeles. Along the way, it’s established itself as an industry forerunner—a harbinger of the new and the next.
This week, we partnered with Highsnobiety, inviting fashion editors Corey Stokes and Noah Thomas to explore the store and film the season one finale of the video series “Itemized.” Though they had originally planned to focus on menswear, Stokes and Thomas were inspired at the store to go for a more feminine approach. For the first time on “Itemized,” they’ve included womenswear, too.
Pulling from every section of the store—Men’s, Women’s, Vintage, and 4510/SIX—the episode explores the freedom and versatility of dressing with an all-gendered approach. Borrow from the boys, from the girls, mix it all; there are no rules.
Dressing for their favorite fashion archetypes (The Minimalist, The Fashion Bro/Chick, and The Style Nerd), the Highsnob editors selected their favorite pieces from designers, including Stone Island, Our Legacy, Jil Sander, Alyx, Undercover, Marni, and The Soloist. The result? A fresh take on some of our fall favorites and some styling inspiration that’ll make you look at your closet in a new way.
